We believe you’ll come to love Statamic once you see what it can do
WordPress has been the go-to CMS platform for web developers for over twenty years. However, recently we’ve come to prefer Statamic (pronounced stat-AH-mick). And we want to tell you why.
WordPress is popular because it can do almost anything, but this makes it overly complicated. Statamic’s relative simplicity brings amazing benefits.

SplitMango is Canada’s first official Statamic Partner. We cut our teeth using WordPress for our website development projects. But when we got wind of Statamic, we had to check it out. Its performance, security and scalability was obviously superior to WordPress, and we were eager to bring our clients onboard. However, many had invested considerable resources into their WordPress sites. We were delighted to learn that we’d be able to import much of their WordPress content into a new Statamic site. There are some caveats and workarounds, but the advantages of Statamic make it all worthwhile.

Security and reliability
Did you know that 95% of the websites hacked are running WordPress? Most WordPress websites are hacked through injecting malicious code into the database. Statamic’s CMS doesn’t use a database, so there is no danger of your site being hacked that way. Content in a Statamic site is version-controlled, so it’s easy to revert to a previous iteration if you need to.
It’s designed specifically for your business
We build Statamic websites using only the pages, fields and tabs you need - no extraneous fluff to wade through! You might even find content management to be fun, compared to WordPress. If you need to expand your site’s features, Statamic likely has them. It’s future-secure.
No third party plugins
No constant updates, no overcomplicated page builders, no ads in your website's admin panel and no third party plugins keep Statamic simple and secure. FYI, most WordPress security vulnerabilities arise from third party themes and plugins.
Better speed and performance
Due to multi-layered caching and flat-file architecture, Statamic websites are faster compared to WordPress sites, (which rely on databases and their assorted plugins).
User-friendly CMS
You’ll really appreciate Statamic’s smooth and intuitive content editing experience through its clean and easy-to-navigate control panel. Users with no technical experience are able to manage content effectively, effortlessly (no coding needed) and safely (i.e. far less risk of lost sections/content).
