Help BC Nurses
The BC Nurses’ Union is the primary advocate for nurses in British Columbia, working to protect their rights and well-being. The primary issue is that BC’s healthcare system is critically short-staffed, nurses are facing burnout and are struggling to provide safe patient care. The Union’s "Help BC Nurses" website is designed to educate the public about nurses' working conditions, and the health of the industry in general. Their hope is that the public will be motivated to speak up in support of BC nurses by emailing their MLAs.
The website was designed by Wasserman, one of our Design Partner agencies. SplitMango provided project management and website development. We continue to collaborate with Wasserman and the BCNU on other projects such as annual reports and awareness campaigns.

Our Approach
To increase awareness of critical issues, stimulate dialogue and ultimately motivate positive change in the BC nursing profession.
The website's primary objective is to increase awareness of critical issues, stimulate dialogue and ultimately motivate positive change in the BC nursing profession. “Help BC Nurses” serves as an information hub, providing insights into the current state of nursing in British Columbia. The goal is to shed light on the challenges faced by BC’s nursing profession through a collection of informative articles and video interviews. It’s hoped this triggers direct action from the public in support of British Columbia’s nurses.
We made it easy for the public to email their government representatives directly through the site, in effect becoming advocates for the nursing community. It’s hoped this will result in improved working conditions, and greater recognition within the healthcare and public sectors.
The Outcome
Help BC Nurses is a powerful vehicle for amplifying BCNU’s voice and nurturing community support.
This collaboration with Wasserman and the BC Nurses’ Union (BCNU) exemplifies SplitMango’s ability to create effective digital platforms and campaigns that communicate critical messaging and drive public engagement.Through the site, and ongoing work on initiatives like Ratios Save Lives and BCNU’s annual reports, we’ve been able to contribute to BCNU’s mission of advocating for nurses and improving healthcare across British Columbia. We’re kind of proud of that.
